As he watches over Sayid and wait for Jin to come back, Hurley hears a noise. He grabs a gun and looks to find Jacob standing in the bushes.
"Because I died an hour ago."
Jacob examines Sayid, who is dying of a gunshot wound. He tells Hurley that in order to save Sayid, he has to tell Jin to take him to the hole in the wall where he went with the French expedition team.
